About the Authors

Christine

On top of Mt. Sinai, Egypt, 2008

Growing up as a nomadic military-brat, Christine has visited sixteen countries and wants to visit many more. When she is not cooking, writing or planning a trip, Christine gardens, watches football, knits, hikes, teaches art history and practices yoga. She is still unsure how her son turned into a tripe-loving foodie, when she can remember when he didn't like soup or pasta.

 Zach

The tail of two stomachs, Zach was never one for adventurous food as a child. At the age of eleven, when engaged in an hour long debate about why he should try escargot, he got fed up and gave in. That first bite of buttery, garlic deliciousness forever changed him. Zach has two standing goals in life. Try new foods whenever possible, and visit more countries than the rest of his family. Being only three behind Christine, he's always itching to travel. Between trips, Zach works at a Naples style pizzeria, plays video games, and helps his high school marching band.
